The Outdoor Pantry
We think that the food you take on expeditions should be exciting, delicious, nourishing, and still good to eat after 4 days of the ingredients being in the bottom of your bag (or a sun-baked barrel)! The recipes you’ll find here should help with that.
Spicy Sausage Risotto
This is one of our go to recipes whilst out adventuring and is just as well suited to when it is cold and pouring with rain, as it is on a warm summer evening by the sea watching the sun go down.
Satay Expedition Curry
This is a recipe that we have been experimenting with for a few years now, and we think we have something that ticks all the satay boxes. This curry has plenty of flavour and can be made from shelf stable ingredients so it will keep nicely even in a hot barrel for weeks at a time.
Adventure Stew
Recipe for Adventure Stew. In essence this is vegetables and protein in gravy. The key part is that the ingredients do not weigh much yet it feels satisfyingly heavy when you eat it. This stew can equally be cooked from dry ingredients found in most supermarkets as it can be from pre-adventure home dehydrated ingredients.
