The Luffs who do Stuff
Engineering an enjoyable experience is what we aim for when we head outside. Here’s a little about how we ended up here.
Hi, we’re Robert & Katrina Luff. Together we really enjoy being outside and actively exploring the world around us. We met at university both doing engineering degrees over a decade ago, and shortly after that decided that we wanted to experience life’s adventures together. We’ll give most activities a go, but canoeing has been our focus recently.
Robert has kit for almost every outdoor activity, and that’s because he’s probably given it a go at some point! From mountain biking as a kid, to running 100+miles in a week, and wandering all over the UK, Robert is more likely to be found outdoors than inside.
Katrina’s first memories are of camping, and she is most likely in a tent to either be near mountains or lakes. Kayaking, canoeing or hiking are what you will find her doing rain or shine in the summer, and in winter she’ll be doing the same but in a lot more warm layers!
In 2023, we took on our biggest expedition so far. We took short sabbaticals from work and completed the 740mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT). Whilst doing this, we realised that we’ve got a lot of knowledge between us that could help others with their aventures. We don’t know what our next big adventure with be, but you’re welcome to join us, and hopefully learn more in the process.
